Qualification: Master's degree with 55% marks in the concerned subject, NET/SLET/SET qualified or Ph.D. degree, Alternatively, Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among top 500 in World University Rankings.. Assistant Professor:Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned subject (Political Science, History, Economics, Library and Information Science) from an Indian University or equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University, Cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.OR Awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil /Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments, provided the Ph.D. thesis was evaluated by at least two external examiners, an open Ph.D. Viva-Voce was conducted, and the candidate published two research papers from Ph.D. work (at least one in a referred journal) and presented at least two papers based on Ph.D. work in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR sponsored conferences/seminars, OR Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by QS, THE, or ARWU..
