Central University of Punjab (CUP) Junior Research Fellowship / Project Assistant Notification 2026 has been released on 27 May 2026 on the official website of the Central University of Punjab. A total of 2 vacancies have been announced through the CUP Junior Research Fellowship / Project Assistant Recruitment 2026.

Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) with at least 55% marks in Biotechnology, Botany, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or relevant allied field of Life Sciences + NET/GATE/DBT-BET etc., B.Sc./B.Tech./M.Sc. with minimum 55% marks in Biotechnology, Botany, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics or relevant allied disciplines; Junior Research Fellowship:Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in Biotechnology, Botany, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a relevant allied field of Life Sciences from a recognized University/Institute; Candidates must have cleared National Eligibility Tests like CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship/Category 3), GATE, or national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies (such as DBT-BET, ICMR, DST, etc.) as mandated by DBT rules.. Project Assistant:B.Sc./B.Tech. / M.Sc. degree with minimum 55% marks in Biotechnology, Botany, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or relevant allied disciplines from a recognized University or Institute.. For the Junior Research Fellowship position, candidates need a Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) with at least 55% marks in relevant Life Sciences fields and must have cleared national-level eligibility tests like CSIR-UGC NET or GATE.
