Department of Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Co-operative West Singhbhum has announced 15 vacancies for the Crop Guard post on a contract basis for 11 months or until regular appointment, whichever is earlier. Candidates can apply through the prescribed offline process by sending their application by speed post or registered post to the Office of the Junior Plant Protection Officer, Combined Agriculture Building, Xavier Nagar, West Singhbhum, Chaibasa from 15 October 2026 to 30 October 2026 up to 5:00 PM. The required qualification for the post includes Matric / Secondary (10th) passed, 5 days training, local language knowledge, cycle and tree climbing proficiency, and being a resident of the block, with a pay of Rs. 11,851 per month.
Matric / Secondary (10th) passed with 5 days training and specified physical skills; Candidates must have passed Matric / Secondary (10th) from a recognised institution, completed a minimum 5-day training under the agriculture and horticulture directorate, know the local language, be able to ride a cycle and climb trees, and reside in the respective block.
