About this Drive

Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India invites applications for two (02) vacancies of Member in the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), established under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Eligibility includes being a High Court Judge, or having served as District/Additional District Judge for 10 years, or possessing 25+ years of professional experience in economics, law, finance, management, etc. The selection will be made by a Search-Cum-Selection Committee.

Eligibility

Candidates must be (a) a Judge of a High Court, or (b) have served as a District or Additional District Judge for at least 10 years, or (c) possess 25+ years of professional experience in economics, business, law, finance, management, public affairs, or administration. Age limit is 50 years as of the last date of application.

Application Procedure: Applications of eligible and willing officers are requested through online mode only on URL https://jagograha.kjago.gov.in/ncdrc by 29th November, 2023.

In case of serving Government Officers and persons working in Central/State Government PSUs/Autonomous Bodies, a duly signed copy of the application submitted online may be sent through proper channel to the Under Secretary (CPU), Department of Consumer Affairs, Room No. 466-A, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi-110001 along with the following documents:

i. Certificate to be furnished by the employer/head of office/ forwarding authority as in Annexure-II; ii. Clear photocopies of the up-to-date CR/APAR dossier of the officer containing CR/APARs of at least last five years duly attested by a Group A officer; iii. Cadre clearance; iv. Integrity certificate/clearance from vigilance and disciplinary angle as in Annexure-III; v. Statement giving details of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last ten years,

In case of retired officers, “No Inquiry Certificate” from the last employer has to be submitted.
