About this Drive

DFCCIL invites applications for Director (Operations & Business Development) on deputation/absorption basis. The position reports to MD, oversees safe train operations, business development, and logistics planning for DFC network. Appointment is for 5 years or till superannuation (age 60), whichever is earlier. Applications must be submitted via PESB website within 30 days of job upload, with deadline April 29, 2026.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Engineering graduates with 5+ years in operations/business development in transport/logistics sector, preferably with railway experience. Must hold senior positions in CPSEs, Central Govt Group 'A', SPSEs (turnover ≥1500cr), or private/JVs (listed preferred). Minimum age 45, max 60. Pay scale Rs. 1,80,000 - 3,40,000 (IDA). Internal candidates need 2 years, external 3 years residual service.

Job Responsibilities

Member of Board of Directors; overall responsibility for safe train operations on DFC Network; coordinate with Zonal Railways; responsible for business development including Private Freight Terminals, Goods Sheds, connectivity planning, Multi Modal Logistic Parks, Container Depots, Port connectivity; responsible for IT-enabled services in train operations & business development; develop revenue streams and PPP strategies.

Selection Process

Shortlisting by Board based on guidelines; interviews conducted; immediate absorption for Central Government officers; debarment for 2 years if unwilling to join after interview or offer.
