Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh (GMCH Chandigarh) has announced 242 contractual vacancies for Senior Resident and other posts. The notified pay for posts such as Senior Resident in Anaesthesia, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Cardiology, CTVS, and Cardiac Anaesthesia is Rs. 67,700 plus NPA at 20%. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications up to 28 October 2026, noting that candidates who have completed a three-year tenure of Senior Residency or already done one year Junior Residency cannot apply. The selection process involves a Written Test, Interview, Document Verification, and Merit List, with the written test for Senior Residents scheduled for 3 November 2026. (Medical) as applicable per post; Post: Qualification Required; Senior Resident, CMO (General Medicine & General Surgery), Resident Anaesthetist & Resident Pathologist: Postgraduate Medical Degree i.e. (M.D./M.S./DNB/M.Ch./D.M) or equivalent in the concerned specialty (recognized by MCI and registered either with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council). Candidates who have completed a three-year tenure of Senior Residency are not eligible.. Demonstrators / Medical Officer / EMO / LMO: MBBS (Preference will be given to PG degree holders). Candidates having M.Sc. (Medical) in concerned specialty from a Medical Institute will be considered only in case of non-availability of medical candidates

Note: Only 01 post of Demonstrator in Physiology is available for non-medical candidates (subject to non-availability of medical candidate). No post of Demonstrator is available for non-medical candidates in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology & Pharmacology. |
