Candidates must have passed Matriculation/equivalent examination from an Education Board recognised by the Central Government, State Government, or a Union Territory.

Hearing	Normal hearing - able to hear forced whisper from 6 metres with each ear separately
Dental	Healthy gums, good set of teeth, minimum 14 dental points; dental implants/implant-supported prosthesis not awarded dental points; fixed or removable orthodontic appliances lead to unfit status
General Health	Must be fit for the Air Force, of normal anatomy without loss of any appendage, free from active/latent or acute/chronic medical or surgical disability, communicable disease, infection, or skin ailments
Gender	Candidates found with predominant characteristics of the opposite gender on external physical examination will be rejected; candidates who have undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared unfit
