Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has released the official Junior Research Fellow Notification 2026. A total of 1 vacancy has been announced under the IIT Kharagpur Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026. Eligible candidates aged up to 28 years with a Post Graduate degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Professional Engineering or Technology, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and qualification through CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or equivalent national-level examinations, can apply. GATE is mandatory for B.Tech./B.E. Chemical Engineering candidates. The application process will be conducted through email up to 20 August 2026. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Engineering, B.Tech/ B.E. Chemical Engineering, M.Sc. with B.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry preferred; Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Engineering or Technology Course selected via CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or National level examinations by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.. Minimum 60% marks.. GATE mandatory for B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical Engineering.. Candidates preferred for MS/Ph.D. through project mode.. Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Engineering or Technology Course, selected through CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or equivalent national exams, with a minimum of 60% marks.
