Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has released the official Junior Research Fellow Notification 2026 at the official website. A total of 1 vacancy has been announced under the IIT Kharagpur Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026. Eligible candidates up to the maximum age of 28 years with a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science, a Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course with CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE, M.Tech./ M.E. in Civil, Mechanical, Mining, or Applied Mechanics, or B.Tech. with a valid GATE score or high CGPA from a NIRF-ranked institute can apply online up to 03 September 2026. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science, Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree; Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE or National level examinations by Central Govt. Depts.. Desirable: M.Tech/ M.E. in Civil/ Mechanical/ Mining/ Applied Mechanics or B.Tech with valid GATE or high CGPA from NIRF ranked institute.. Strongly desired: Knowledge in Solid Mechanics, stress-strain analysis, fracture mechanics, structural health monitoring, FEM simulations.. Candidates need a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through CSIR-UGC NET/GATE. Desirable qualifications include M.Tech/M.E. or B.Tech with valid GATE.
