Recruitment for the post of Chairperson, Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT), Chennai, falling vacant on 10.09.2024. Eligible candidates must be either a High Court Judge, an ILS member with 10 years of litigation experience and Additional Secretary-level post, or a DRT Presiding Officer for 3 years. Minimum age 50, maximum 70. Applications due by 23.10.2023.
Eligibility: Candidates must be (i) a current or former Judge of a High Court, OR (ii) a member of the Indian Legal Service with 10 years of litigation experience who has held the post of Additional Secretary or equivalent, OR (iii) have held the office of Presiding Officer of a Debt Recovery Tribunal for 3 years. Minimum age is 50 years on application deadline. Term is 4 years or until age 70, whichever is earlier. Re-appointment is permitted.

(i) Bio-data in the proforma at Annexure-I
(ii) Certificate to be furnished by the employer/head of office/forwarding authority as in Annexure-II (wherever applicable)
(iii) Clear photocopies of the up-to-date CR/APAR dossier of the officer containing CR/APARs of at least last five years i.e. from 2016-17 to 2020-21 duly attested by a Group A officer. In case ACR/APAR for a period more than 3 months is not recorded, then ACRs/APARs prior to five years for the matching period along with No Report Certificate (NRC) may be submitted (wherever applicable)
(iv) Cadre clearance (in case of serving candidates)
(v) Integrity certificate/clearance from vigilance and disciplinary angle as in Annexure-III (in case of serving candidates)
(vi) Statement giving details of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last ten years
