About this Drive

Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services invites applications for the posts of Presiding Officer in Debts Recovery Tribunals (DRTs) under the Recovery of Debts and Bankruptcy Act, 1993. There are 39 DRTs across India, and the selection will be done by a Search-Cum-Selection Committee based on qualifications, experience, and personal interaction. The deadline for application is October 23, 2023.

Eligibility

Candidates must be, or have been, a District Judge as per Rule 3(8) of the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021. Age limit is 50 years as of the last date for application submission (October 23, 2023). Re-appointment is permissible under the 2023 Amendment Rules.

How to Apply

Application Procedure and Required Documents

Applications must be sent through proper channel (wherever applicable) and must include:

Bio-data in the proforma at Annexure-I.
Certificate from employer/head of office/forwarding authority as in Annexure-II (wherever applicable).
Clear photocopies of up-to-date CR/APAR dossier for at least last five years (2016-17 to 2020-21), attested by a Group A officer. If ACR/APAR is missing for >3 months, submit prior ACRs/APARs with No Report Certificate (NRC).
Cadre clearance (for serving candidates).
Integrity certificate/clearance from vigilance and disciplinary angle as in Annexure-III (for serving candidates).
Statement detailing major/minor penalties imposed in last ten years.

Note: No TA/DA will be admissible for candidates called for interview/interaction. Candidates must make their own arrangements.
