Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or institute, along with relevant service or experience requirements as specified in the notification.. Post: Qualification Required; Deputy Director (Engineering): Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administrations or Major Ports or public sector undertakings, or autonomous bodies or universities or recognized research organizations possessing: (a)(i) holding analogous post on regular basis in parent cadre or department; or (ii) with 5 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500) in the pay matrix or equivalent in parent cadre or department; and (b) possessing Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute; and (c) 5 years experience in the field of: (i) Design, construction and maintenance of Civil Engineering works including Harbour Engineering; or (ii) Maintenance and operation of different types of cranes, diesel locos, marine engines, winches and auxiliary machinery in a mechanical or marine workshop or organisation.
