About this Drive

NTA will conduct the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December-2024 exam to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor appointments, or Ph.D. admission, in Indian universities. The exam will be held from 16 to 28 February 2025 in CBT mode. Online applications are open from 9 to 30 December 2024.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold a Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD). For JRF, the maximum age is 28 years (extendable for reserved categories). There is no age limit for eligibility for Assistant Professorship. Candidates must apply online via https://csirnet.nta.ac.in during the application window.

Exam Pattern

Objective Type MCQs, 180 minutes (3 hours) duration, Bi-lingual (English and Hindi) medium. Candidates can choose from 5 test papers: Chemical Sciences, Earth/Atmospheric/Ocean/Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences.

Eligibility Details

Eligibility criteria for award of Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor appointment, or Ph.D. admission are detailed in the Information Bulletin. Minimum educational qualification is typically a Master's degree in the relevant subject with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD). Age limit for JRF is 28 years (extendable up to 3 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/women). No age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility.

Online application only via https://csirnet.nta.ac.in. Only one application per candidate is allowed. Fee can be paid online via Debit/Credit Cards, Internet Banking, or UPI. Candidates must use their own or parents'/guardians' email and mobile numbers for communication.
