The Indian Navy has invited applications for210 apprenticeship seatsfor the training year 2027–28/29:180 at Naval Dockyard, Naval Base, Karwar(Karnataka) across 27 trades and30 at Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa), Dabolimacross 13 trades. ITI certificate holders receive a stipend ofRs. 9,600 per month; three non-ITI trades are open to10th passcandidates and one (Rigger) to8th pass, on lower stipend slabs. There isno upper age limitandno fee.
10th pass plus ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade; 10th pass for Crane Operator Overhead and Forger & Heat Treater; 8th pass for Rigger; Qualifications vary by post, requiring Std X and ITI pass for ITI trades, Std X pass for Crane Operator Overhead and Forger & Heat Treater, and Std VIII pass for Rigger..
