Essential Qualification: Preferential Qualification; A Bachelor's degree from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.: Other things being equal, preference is given to candidates with: a B.P.Ed/D.P.Ed from a recognised university/institution; 3 years' service as Block Commander, Halka Sardar, or Dalpati in the organisation; a minimum of 2 years' service in the Territorial Army; or an NCC "B" certificate.. A Bachelor's degree from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification, AND a D.P.Ed/B.P.Ed from a recognised university/institution, or an equivalent qualification (B.P.Ed in Physical Education is treated as equivalent, per the Higher Education Department notification dated 2 February 2024).: Other things being equal, preference is given to candidates with: a coaching diploma from the Netaji Subhash National Sports Institute (Patiala/Bengaluru/Kolkata), Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (Gwalior/Trivandrum), or equivalent NIS-recognised institutions, or an M.P.Ed from a recognised university/institution; a minimum of 2 years' service in the Territorial Army; or an NCC "B" certificate.
