Qualification
Master's Degree in Social Work or Ph.D. awarded as per UGC regulations.. Master's Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Social Work from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.. A relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at the Master's level for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Backward Classes (BC)/Persons with Disabilities (PwD), as per UGC/Panjab University norms.. Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC, such as SLET/SET, or must have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and amendments thereto.. Candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to 11 July 2009 shall be governed by the then existing UGC Regulations/University Ordinances and shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET subject to fulfillment of the conditions prescribed by the UGC, duly certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs).. Experience of teaching Postgraduate classes of Master of Social Work.. Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work with 55% marks and have cleared NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations.
