Candidates must be 12th pass with 50% marks, or possess a Matriculation plus ITI / Course Completed Act Apprenticeship along with specific Scouting and Guiding credentials.

Level Of Post	Minimum Educational Qualification
Level-2 (Group 'C')	12th pass or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. The 50% aggregate requirement will not be insisted upon for SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen candidates, and candidates possessing a qualification higher than 12th; ORMatriculation (10th Pass)/SSLC plus ITI in relevant trade (recognised by NCVT/SCVT); ORMatriculation (10th Pass)/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in relevant trade.
Level-1 (Erstwhile Group 'D')	Matriculation (10th pass) OR ITI or its equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
