Long hours, no rest stops, low status, poor facilities; who would? Even experienced drivers are quitting to buy their own trucks, leaving big fleets scrambling. Industry leaders say the solution isn’t more trucks; it’s dignified jobs, certified training, better highway facilities, and respect. If we don’t fix this, industries will pay higher costs, deliveries will lag, and supply chains will stutter. The engine of India’s economy might just run out of drivers; unless we act now.
