While headlines scream about robots taking jobs, India’s real challenge? Making sure AI boosts everyone; not just the few. Right now, AI adoption is stuck in IT and finance, leaving 40% of workers in agriculture and 12% in construction largely untouched. The risk isn’t mass layoffs; it’s being left behind. The key? Smart diffusion; not just shiny tech. SMEs need affordable tools. Workers need reskilling. And policy must focus on inclusion, not just innovation. India doesn’t need the world’s smartest AI. It needs the smartest way to spread it. Because productivity without participation won’t build a developed nation by 2047; it’ll just widen the gap.
