Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma says they’re on track to hit 2 lakh jobs by the end of their term. Sounds big? It is. What’s interesting isn’t just the number; it’s where these jobs are going. A bank that nearly lost its RBI license? Now hiring 175 people. Water departments? 184 junior engineers. Engineering grads who were stuck waiting? Now getting roles in embankments, roads, and Jal Jeevan Mission projects. Even more telling; they’re not just hiring. They’re fast-tracking promotions too. Why? To open up entry-level seats and keep institutions running smoothly. It’s a strategy: fill today’s vacancies, while creating tomorrow’s opportunities. And yes; they’re celebrating each appointment with families. Because in places like Assam, a government job isn’t just a paycheck. It’s security. It’s dignity. It’s a future. This isn’t just about filling seats. It’s about rebuilding trust; one job letter at a time.
