All because a Gen Z-led group called the 'Cockroach Janata Party' is demanding the resignation of India’s Chief Election Commissioner. They’re not just angry; they’re organized, viral, and unafraid. Their name? Satirical. Their mission? Dead serious: clean up voter rolls they believe are being manipulated. Why 'cockroach'? Because they say they’ll survive any crackdown; just like the bug. And after forcing an education minister to quit earlier this year, they’re now taking on the Election Commission. The government claims 130 million names were wrongly on voter lists. Activists say many were real voters; and the cleanup favors the ruling party. Opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi have been physically stopped from protesting; videos went viral. The Cockroaches call it censorship. The police call it crowd control. This isn’t just about elections. It’s about who gets to speak; and who gets heard. And with students, farmers, and opposition parties now joining in, this might be the biggest youth-led political movement India’s seen in years.
