India’s economy just keeps outperforming expectations — and economists can’t quite explain why.

📈 RBI upgraded GDP growth forecast to 7.1%; up 40 bps from just months ago. But here’s the twist: for the past 3 years, actual growth has consistently beaten forecasts. Before 2022? The opposite was true. Why the flip? Economists say post-Covid global chaos (war, oil shocks, tariffs) made them too cautious. But India kept chugging along; even after demonetisation, which *should’ve* hurt growth in 2016-17... yet GVA rose 8%. The real question? If forecasts are so off, what does that say about how we measure, predict, or even understand India’s economic engine? #Economy #GDP #RBI #IndiaGrowth #EconomicForecast
