Inflation data just landed, and it’s got investors sweating. Why? Because higher inflation could mean higher interest rates; and that’s bad news for loans, EMIs, and your favourite blue-chip stocks. Tech and real estate stocks tried to lead the charge; but even they couldn’t shake off the gloom. The Nifty’s weak move past its key support level has traders whispering: is this the start of a dip? Meanwhile, economists are watching CPI data like hawks. If prices keep climbing, the RBI might have no choice but to hike rates; which could slow down everything from home loans to car EMI plans. Here’s the irony: even as stocks hold steady today, the real story is in the background; inflation’s quiet surge. And that’s the kind of thing that doesn’t make headlines… until it does. Don’t just watch the Sensex. Watch what’s forcing it to blink.
