At the 2026 Asian Games, not a single medal. No singles hope. No doubles magic. Just silence where once there was roar. Leander, Sania, Vijay Amritraj; they weren’t just stars, they were proof that India could compete at the highest level. Now? Sumit Nagal fights hard… but he’s often alone. The system that once built champions is now patching holes with nostalgia. Juniors lack funding. Families shoulder insane costs. Federations? Still waiting for a plan. And while tennis sleeps, pickleball and padel are stealing courts; and kids. This isn’t a bad season. This is a collapse. The good news? It can still be fixed; if someone finally decides to act before the last tennis court turns into a gym.
