And it’s not just a tech opinion. It’s a power shift. Why? Because China’s AI models like DeepSeek and GLM are outpacing giants; not with flashier specs, but with cheaper, good-enough results. Tan says open-source is the engine of efficiency. That means startups, small devs, even Indian companies could soon build on powerful AI without paying billion-dollar fees. The hardware race is changing too; quantum computing may go mainstream in 3-5 years. And the real winner? Anyone who can code, not just those who can buy. This isn’t just Silicon Valley drama; it’s a global reset. The future of AI isn’t locked behind walls. It’s being built openly; and fast.
