Just a few years ago, his party backed the NDA on this very issue; now he's calling it a 'student appointing their own examiner.' What changed? The answer might lie in Andhra Pradesh's volatile politics. With his party reduced to just four MPs and ousted from state power, Jagan is quietly pivoting; reaching out to Left parties, backing the Cockroach Janata Party, and openly criticizing the EC’s functioning. His goal? To rebuild an Opposition front that can challenge the TDP-BJP alliance in Andhra. But here’s the twist: he’s avoiding the Congress; even though his own sister leads it in the state. This isn’t just about electoral reforms. It’s about survival. And in Indian politics, survival often means choosing sides; even if it means changing them.
