Instead of waiting for monsoon to strike, the state is using schools to teach kids how to spot mosquito breeding spots, share prevention tips with families, and turn science into real-life action. Why? Because kids listen, and when they lead, parents follow. With climate change making dengue a year-round danger; not just a rainy-season scare; Karnataka’s new 4-point plan goes beyond sprays and slogans. It’s about data that works, community alerts, and tech-driven mosquito monitoring; all backed by Takeda and local innovators. The big shift? No more ‘summer mode’ for dengue. It’s 365 days of prevention, starting in school corridors, not just hospitals. And yes; kids are now part of the public health frontline. Because the best defense isn’t just vaccines or fogging machines… it’s a generation that knows how to stop dengue before it starts.
