She’s India-born, and now she’s a mom… twice. On September 18, 2026, this 30-month-old female gave birth to four cubs at Kuno National Park; her second litter. That makes her the first India-born cheetah to successfully raise two sets of babies. And the timing? Spot-on. The birth came the day after Project Cheetah turned 4. Four years. Four new lives. Symbolic? Absolutely. India’s cheetah population now stands at 56; 36 of them born right here. That’s a huge leap from 2022, when just 8 cheetahs arrived from Namibia. Since then, more have come from South Africa and Botswana; but the real milestone? The next generation stepping up. Kuno isn’t just a park; it’s a comeback story. Grasslands, dry forests, river flows, and now, cheetah cubs. It’s quiet, wild, and off the tiger-trail. But if you’re planning a visit? Hold off. The cubs are still under protection; and not yet visible to tourists. But that’s fine. Some stories are meant to be told, not seen; at least, not yet. The real win isn’t in photos. It’s in survival. And KGP12 just upped the game.
