This isn’t just about planting trees or writing reports. It’s about rewiring how a $1.3B+ FMCG giant sources rice; from laser-levelling farms in Punjab to carbon-neutral mills by 2030. Monika Chawla Jaggia, who accepted the award, put it simply: “Sustainability isn’t a side project. It’s how we do business.” That includes helping 30,000+ farmers adopt water-saving rice techniques and building schools near farms. The real win? They were the first company globally to hit Level 3 verification under the UN’s Sustainable Rice Platform. This isn’t CSR for show. It’s proof that big business can scale responsibility without sacrificing profit. And if LT Foods can embed sustainability into its supply chain; from grain to grocery shelves; maybe others can too. The future of food isn’t just organic. It’s accountable.
