No exams. No waiting. Just direct appointments. Why? Because the state changed its rules to reserve government jobs for Agniveers who served the country. This isn’t just about filling vacancies. It’s about honoring service. These 282 men; 150 from Deckside, 132 from Engineside; were given job letters before most even knew it was possible. And they didn’t have to fight through the usual maze of written tests or interviews. Other states are watching. Assam reserved 12% of constable posts. Gujarat is hiring Agniveers directly into police, with 20% reservation on top. But Maharashtra moved first; and fast. No fanfare. No press conference. Just action. It’s a signal: if you served under Agnipath, you’re not disposable. You’re valued. And now, you’re officially part of India’s civil safety backbone. This might be the beginning of a trend. Will UP, Karnataka, or Tamil Nadu follow? Because once one state proves it works; others usually do too.
