It wasn’t just about big names like ITC or Reliance. The real story? Investors quietly piled into consumer and banking stocks, betting on domestic strength while global uncertainty looms. Yes, crude is still pricey, US yields high, and the RBI’s policy meet could swing things. But the market’s real signal? Trust in India’s own economy. While healthcare stocks slipped and breadth stayed weak, large caps led the charge; suggesting smart money’s picking safety, not speculation. The big test? What the RBI says this week. If they hold rates, expect more flows. If they hike? Brace for volatility. Either way, the rebound isn’t random; it’s a calculated bet on resilience.
