They’re reacting to protests targeting the Election Commission, calling them 'anarchic' and dangerous to democracy. These aren’t random voices; they’re PhDs, researchers, alumni who’ve studied India’s institutions from the outside, and they’re deeply worried what’s happening now. Their message? Dissent is fine; but when you question election results, drag the judiciary into politics, or even pull the Armed Forces into partisan fights, you’re not saving democracy... you’re eroding it. And they’re quoting Ambedkar: don’t abandon constitutional methods for chaos. Interesting twist? Many of them were trained in India; they didn't leave democracy behind. They’re trying to protect it; from afar. What does that say about where we are today?
