India’s bowlers are getting roasted online; but Morkel says: ‘These guys are also human.’ Remember, they just came off the Asian Games, flew to Delhi for a PM meeting, then hopped on another flight to face West Indies. All while dealing with dew, powerplay chaos, and no Bumrah. The stats don’t lie: without Bumrah, India’s T20 economy rate jumps from 8.62 to 9.16. That’s not coincidence; it’s pressure. Morkel’s not making excuses. He’s asking for empathy. A packed calendar + mental fatigue = performance dip. Next stop? New Zealand. Same intensity. Same expectations. The real question isn’t ‘Why are they struggling?’; it’s ‘How long can we expect them to carry this load?’
