Instead of just talking about green energy, they’re pushing for real rules: model green tariffs, open access policies, and even battery-backed renewable power for data centers. That means big tech players, cloud providers, and even AI startups might soon be forced to run on clean energy; not just claim they do. What’s even more interesting? NITI Aayog wants states to have minimum renewable energy shares; basically making green power non-negotiable, not optional. This isn’t just about saving trees. It’s about future-proofing India’s digital economy. Data centers eat power like crazy; and if they’re running on coal, India’s carbon goals won’t stand a chance. Bottom line: If this gets implemented, the next generation of Indian tech won’t just be smart; it’ll be sustainable. And that’s a win for everyone.
