One line in PM Modi’s speech at UPSC’s 100th anniversary is quietly making waves — he revealed that Subhas Chandra Bose wrote his UPSC exam in Sanskrit.

Yes, in 1920, under British rule, when most aspirants used English, Bose chose Sanskrit; a bold, symbolic statement. It wasn’t just about language. It was about reclaiming identity, even in a British-designed exam. Modi didn’t just drop this fact; he framed it as inspiration for today’s youth: if Bose could walk into an imperial system and rewrite its rules in his mother tongue, so can you. The UPSC centenary isn’t just about exams; it’s about legacy, resistance, and redefining what civil service means. Think about it: the man who later challenged British rule, started his journey by challenging the language of the test. That’s not just history; it’s a call to rewrite your own rules. #UPSC #SubhasChandraBose #CivilServices #Sanskrit #NarendraModi #IndiaHistory #ExamMotivation
