On October 7, AMPSTA is taking to the streets, not for pay hikes, but for basic job security and retention. Their demands? Keep posts open after retirements, fill vacancies, regularize overlooked teachers, and drop a 20-year-old order hurting schools. Behind this protest is a quiet crisis: thousands of primary teachers; especially in non-government schools; lack job permanence, pensions, and even basic recognition. If the system won’t fix this, who will? This isn’t just Meghalaya’s fight; it’s every teacher’s silent battle. #GovernmentJobs #TeachersProtest #Meghalaya #EducationReform #AMPSTA
