In 2025 alone, 75,000 new cases poured in, while only 65,000 were disposed of. That gap isn’t just a statistic; it’s the human cost of delayed justice. This isn’t a sudden move. An ordinance was already passed in May, signed by President Murmu, to bump up the strength; now the Bill is making it permanent. More judges mean more Constitutional Benches can sit regularly, tackling complex legal questions that have been stuck for years. For aspirants, this is a signal: the judiciary is evolving. Efficiency, backlog management, and constitutional clarity are now central to governance. The real takeaway? The courts aren’t just interpreting laws; they’re restructuring to deliver justice.
