What’s wild? It took 9 months, 35 bidders, and only 3 winners. NLC India got the lion’s share (1,000 MW), Coal India snagged another 1,000 MW, and a lesser-known player, Rama Reflection, grabbed 250 MW. The twist? This isn’t just about solar; it’s about storing power for when the sun doesn’t shine. With 6,400 MWh of battery capacity, Rajasthan is betting big on round-the-clock green energy. And here’s the kicker: the state’s discoms (JVVNL, AVVNL, JDVVNL) are locked in to buy this power for years. For aspirants eyeing PSU roles, this is your sign: energy transition = massive job opportunities. Think project management, engineering, grid integration, policy; even finance and legal roles tied to these big-ticket renewables deals. The future isn’t just green; it’s hiring.
