And yes; some are even calling from +92 (Pakistan) numbers claiming you’ve won money. The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre just flagged this as a rising threat, especially on Facebook and Instagram. These aren’t just random ads; they’re polished, political-looking traps. One click, one UPI PIN, and your money’s gone. Don’t fall for it. Always verify schemes on official government websites. Never share OTPs, UPI PINs, or Aadhaar details based on a social media ad. If a CM calls you from a +92 number; hang up. And if you’ve already fallen for it? Report it immediately on cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930. Real benefits don’t ask for money upfront; ever.
