A seven-member committee has been formed by the Sports Ministry to sort out the mess around the Hockey India League, but the real drama? It’s all behind closed doors. Former captain Asunta Lakra’s harassment allegations, internal power struggles between top officials, and now, a High Court petition filed by president Dilip Tirkey against his own federation’s meetings. Even the elections; meant to bring stability; are postponed indefinitely. This isn’t just about hockey. It’s about governance, ego, and who gets to decide the future of India’s Olympic sport. And right now? No one’s in charge.
