And Congress isn’t letting anyone forget it. Launched in 2020-21 with big promises, the scheme was supposed to turn marginalized groups into employable assets. Instead, Jairam Ramesh says it’s become ‘paperwork with zero delivery’. Unspent budgets, no real training, no jobs; and yet, the name still carries the PM’s stamp. Ramesh’s punchline? “Naam bade aur darshan chote.” Big name, tiny results. His message: if you can’t run a scheme you named yourself, what right do you have to stay in power? He even hints at political revenge; accusing the government of ignoring SC/OBC communities after losing 240 seats in 2024. The scheme isn’t just about training. It’s about dignity, opportunity, and inclusion. And right now, it’s stuck in a loop of announcements… and nothing else.
