What’s at stake? Voter lists. Specifically, they’re alleging that non-Karnataka residents are being kept on voting rolls; and that political workers are being targeted with false FIRs under the new BNS Act. H D Kumaraswamy and R Ashoka led the delegation. They didn’t just raise concerns; they demanded action. Their plea: Protect citizens who’ve filed objections via Form 7. Stop misusing police stations as political tools. This isn’t just about paperwork. If true, it’s about democracy’s foundation; clean, credible voter rolls. And if police are being weaponized against opposition workers, that’s a whole different alarm bell. The Governor’s response could set a precedent. Will he intervene? Or will this escalate into a full-blown constitutional standoff? One thing’s clear; voter integrity in Karnataka just got a lot more complicated.
