A quiet financial move tied to the Jio IPO. Most people heard about the IPO. Few noticed how it’s quietly moving currency markets. Foreign investors are flooding in, using ‘sell/buy swaps’ to park dollars temporarily; and that's giving the rupee a boost. RBI’s also quietly stepping in. But here’s the catch: higher oil prices (Brent at $110) and a strong US dollar are dragging it back. So yes, the rupee’s gaining; but not without a fight. Big takeaway? Even mega IPOs don’t just move stocks; they shift entire financial ecosystems. And if you’re tracking jobs or salaries linked to forex or banking? This week’s movement matters more than you think.
