That’s not just filling seats. That’s reshaping how services operate across the state. What’s interesting? They’re aiming to get appointment letters out before Puja; yes, before the biggest festive season in the state. That’s a tight timeline. Especially when you consider medical exams and verification for many candidates are already done. It feels less like a routine hiring drive and more like a targeted, time-bound mission. The rest of the 2,454 posts? Health, fire, forests, correctional homes; all critical departments that often run understaffed. No official breakdown yet, but if the police hiring is anything to go by, expect a fast-moving, well-organized rollout. The big question: Who’s getting these jobs? And how soon will they show up at your local police station or fire brigade? The government’s pushing hard; and if they deliver, this could mean faster response times, better public safety, and real job opportunities for thousands. This isn’t just about numbers. It’s about presence. And with 12,000 new cops coming in before Puja, the streets might feel different this year.
