Not stolen. Not lost. Just… gone. UPI failed. ATM dispensed nothing. Card swipe didn’t go through; but your account got charged. That’s not a glitch. That’s a compensation trigger. Under RBI rules, if the bank messes up; you get ₹100 per day, starting from day 2 (for UPI) or day 6 (for ATM). No forms. No calls. No waiting. It’s automated. It’s your right. And yet; most banks don’t tell you. Because? Why would they? But now you know. Save this. Next time your transaction fails; check the date. Wait till T+1 or T+5. Then watch your account. If the money doesn’t come back; you’ll start seeing ₹100 credits. If not? RBI Ombudsman. They’ll make them pay. Your patience just got a price tag.
